I attended the Lei day festival in Kapiolani park on May day (May 1st). Here are some photos from the event. This first one shows how all the lei that were entered for competition were hanging up for public viewing.Some of my favorite were the lei made for placing on lauhala hats. At the Leading Real Estate national conference that was held last month, Kahala Associates' business cards won first place for design.I am excited about this because I have an on-going gig with Kahala Associates to crop the headshots of all their new realtors so the backgrounds of all of them match. And these photos are then used on their award-winning business cards.

I received my camera in the mail last week and I've been carrying it around everywhere. I recently entered the Z Spot Miami contest, sponsored by FujiFilm. The concept was to design a logo for their new "Z20" digital camera, which they are trying to brand as an "urban and hip" camera.And I won first place with my design!
